There are not many free parking areas in San Gimignano, however, if you have a look before entering to Parking #3, you can notice free space on the side of the road ( big curve on right) where you can safely leave your car anytime for free. 
Another location is by the public school where there a free parking just in front.

The hotel is located in the historic center of San Gimignano on the main street San Matteo.
You are allowed to drive to the front of the hotel to unload and load your luggage anytime, then the car must then be parked in one of the parkings just outside the walls.

It is possible to access to hotel entrance by car anytime for unloading and loading your buggage by following same directions for parking lot #3 .Upon reaching the town, drive around the walls of the town and turn right at the northern-most edge, still following indications for. Just after passing the parking lot "P3" is a traffic signal.Pass through signal, continue always straightthrough intersection following signs for hotel (which after turning left onto main street, will be on your right). Please drive carefully, being in a restricted traffic zone.As you can see in the photo below, you will see these signs that force you to go left, however you are authorized to continue for the remaining 20 meters to via San Matteo. The hotel is located approximately 30 meters on the left, however, being one way road, we invite you to drive backwards to the hotel, so that you will then be ready to drive back to the car park from the same road you came.

Tip:
If you  have little luggage or have wheeled suitcases, you can park directly at parking lot # 3, use the elevator located in front of the parking under the trees and walk for about 300 meters to the hotel on a comfortable almost flat walk

The most convenient parking is # 3, is a public car park where you enter by taking an automatic ticket and pay at the cash desk before leaving.You can buy parking passes to enter / exit during your stay at our reception for a discount dedicated to hotel guests starting from 2 nights stay
There is no advanced parking space reservation service. In front of the parking lot #3 there is an elevator that leads to an entrance in the walls of the historic center.
From here you can walk to the hotel for around 300 meters.Getting to the hotel by shuttle (Park&Ride) 

From April to October from 10.30am to 5.30pm (monday-saturday morning) a parking facility and shuttle service to park and get to the hotel will be available.
Once you get to San Gimignano you will find parking-lot #1 "Giubileo".

insert it in a little stamper machine selecting the number of persons using the bus (rate is euro 1,00 two ways).

Big buses 50 seats must check in at parking "Baccanella" on arrival,pay 50% discounted fee for a total amount of 35,00 EUR (mini bus 20,00EUR).This will be the only charge for the entire stay.
Bus then must be parked in a proper area a 1 km far.There is a shuttle service available to take the bus driver back to the city.
After 6.30pm until early morning bus can be parked at at "Baccanella "as well if required.

To avoid Grande Raccordo Anulare  around Roma, from ROMA AIRPORT FIUMICINO take highway A12 direction CIVITAVECCHIA,then follow for GROSSETO and then SIENA .Near Siena take Superstrada (blue sign SI-FI) towards FIRENZE. 
Exit at POGGIBONSI-NORD and follow directions to San Gimignano. 
Otherwise the standard route is taking highway A1 and exit SIENA VALDICHIANA and  follow to SIENA

Suggested shortcut from PISA AIRPORT to SAN GIMIGNANO by car: Take direction to FIRENZE (State highway "FI PI LI", no toll ),exit at PONTEDERA exit (don't exit the previous one PONTEDERA-PONSACCO!!); as you arrive at the big roundabout go towards CASTELFALFI (additional direction signs FORCOLI, VOLTERRA, PALAIA)
Once in CASTELFALFI you will start to see signs for SAN GIMIGNANO.

Closest bus-stop to our hotel  is  Porta San Matteo.  

Please ask the bus driver if possible to get off at Porta San Matteo which is the second stop once you arrive to San Gimignano,we are just 100 meters walking up the historic main street on the right. From April to October a parking shuttle is available to get in fron of the hotel with your luggage

However,the best way to get to our hotel from Poggibonsi train station in case you don't have a car, is by taxi . Once you get to Poggibonsi by bus or train, taxi are usually standing out of the train station and will take you to the front of the hotel

 Please always require to be taken to the front of the hotel; we had feedback by our guest about some taxi drivers who may try to leave you  at Porta San Matteo , stating  false reasons  due to restriced area to save time.

Our heating and air conditioning system is centralized and is programmed according to the summer / winter season.
Heating is normally provided from mid-November to mid-April, and air conditioning from mid-May to mid-September

Most of tourists are coming to San Gimignano for a daily excursion, usually arriving by car between 11am and 2pm.
Getting to San Gimignano before or later will allow you to avoid traffic and an easier driving.

Several cooking classes are provided all year around in the historic center, in country side location about 4km far from San Gimignano or in Certaldo historic center about 12km far.
The course is available on request,please indicate at the moment of your reservation
which day would prefer to attend to it.
The course usualy start at 10.30 for 3-4 hours during which you will learn to prepare an appetizer, first course, main course, side dish, dessert,according to tuscan typical cousine.At the end of the course, lunch will be served based on dishes cooked. On request is also possible to attend the cooking class in the afternoon.

A large public swimming pool and 3 tennis courts on clay are located in S.Lucia at 2,5 km far from the hotel. The city bus Line 1 is passing every 60 minutes in front of the hotel door ( bus stop #9) and takes you to S.Lucia. You can take the same bus to come back to the hotel.

The space dedicated to swimming, placed into the greenery of the olive trees, has two open pools: one is 25 x 15 meters deep 180/130one for kids of 10 x 10 deep 74 cm, both with climatised water at 28 C°

Bath zone is surrounded by a solarium equipped with beach umbrellas, deck chairs and a green park of 2000 quarter meters enriched by plants and a kids’s garden.
